GYMThe gym

Not a commercial gym.

The Forge is a warehouse in Orem with block walls, an open bay door, and a floor laid out for barbells.

Membership runs month to month with no contract, and a keycard gets you in 24/7 — early, late, or whenever your schedule actually allows.

On the floor is equipment most commercial gyms do not stock: competition combo racks, a monolift, calibrated plates, specialty bars, yokes, and log bars. The full list is below.

Serious equipment does not mean a closed door. You do not need to compete, or to know what a monolift is, to train here.

TRNTraining

Who trains here

Three ways people use the floor. Not classes, not programming — just what the room is set up to do. Beginners train alongside all of it, and nobody is expected to know the equipment on day one.

  1. Powerlifting

Squat, bench, deadlift. Competition combo racks, a monolift, a Westside bench rack, calibrated plates, and squat and deadlift bars that behave the way they do on a platform.

    Racks and stations →

  2. Bodybuilding

An eight-station industrial cable system, dumbbells, and incline and decline benches, in an open warehouse bay rather than a partitioned studio floor.

    Bars and benches →

  3. General strength

Getting stronger, healthier, or just feeling better. No competition required. Train on your own with the same equipment, or ask about personal training.

EQPEquipment

The floor

Train with the best equipment available. Here is the list by purpose, nothing rounded up. New pieces get added as they land on the floor.

Rogue Monster, Ghost, Titan, Texas Strength Systems, Kabuki, Arsenal, Hammer Strength, Universal, York.

Everything below is in the building. Brands and models are listed because they are the evidence — a Ghost combo rack and a calibrated plate set are not something a commercial gym stocks by accident.

Summer Showdown — watch on Instagram
The Forge’s Summer Showdown — the gym’s own for-fun meet, from its Instagram recap.

This is a smaller gym with a tight-knit community.

It is the kind of room where people train seriously, share the floor, and recognise each other — members wear the Forge singlet at meets, and the gym’s own photos show a crew rather than a queue of strangers.

The gym now runs its own for-fun meets. The first Summer Showdown filled the floor with lifters, spotters, judges, and a crowd — and the owner has said he plans one or two a year.
